MEET KALEY LOGAN .

(they/them)

“Kaley Logan is a compelling and inquisitive artist,
driven by the idea of melding articulate movement
alongside the simple authenticity of being human.”

Kaley Logan is a queer, trans non-binary choreographer, artist, and instructor from Tampa, FL, currently based in Los Angeles, CA. They started dancing at age four with ballet classes as a form of therapy for their Achilles tendons and immediately following, they fell in love with dance and started exploring more styles. After spending two years as a trainee for a ballet company in Tampa, FL, they began focusing their training towards contemporary and modern at Howard W. Blake Magnet School for the Arts. Here, they began exploring choreography and developing their own artistic voice. Through their consistent training, they found opportunities to train at summer intensives such as The Ailey School and LINES Ballet. After graduating high school, they spent a year developing their craft and began college in summer of 2019 at AMDA in Los Angeles. In February of 2021, they joined LUME Dance Training’s IGNITE program to focus in on their desire to choreograph, create, and teach. After receiving their Dance Theatre BFA in February 2022 they chose to utilize their education to teach and create with the desire to open up and build more space for other queer performers and artists. They instruct for workshops and open classes, including the opportunity to teach often at Millennium Dance Complex. Their work has been presented in various live shows including HUE, The Journey Dance Awards, What If…, and in MashUp Dance Contemporary Company’s 2024 IWD Dance Festival. As an artist, their work is driven by the idea of melding articulate sound and intentional movement alongside the simple authenticity of human experience and connection.
